Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we have and a time to help those who do not have enough. Each year, The Emergency Assistance Service Effort, (E.A.S.E.) Foundation hosts a Thanksgiving Outreach program to help those families in need.
The E.A.S.E. Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1988 by the business community and residents of the Town of Davie. Its purpose is to aid those qualified residents, on a one time basis, that are in need of temporary emergency assistance. The objective is to help those in need to ease their way back into a self-sustaining, productive life and to prevent homelessness. E.A.S.E. also reaches out to the homeless with food, clothing, and hygiene supplies.
The 2010 E.A.S.E. Turkey Drive goal is to provide at least 30 Thanksgiving baskets to Davie families. The items that the E.A.S.E. Foundation would like to include in each basket are:
A gift certificate for a turkey from a local supermarket, Canned yams, Stuffing, Gravy (jars), Canned vegetables, Instant Potatoes, Seasoning, Pie crusts and filling, Nuts
If you would like to donate, please drop off donations at any of the following locations by November 15:
Davie Town Hall, 6591 Orange Drive; Davie Police Department, 1230 South Nob Hill Road; Any Davie Fire Rescue Station
