The Town of Davie will hold a memorial dedication to the memory of Debbie Chandler on Saturday, November 21, 2010 at Robbins Lodge, located at 4005 Hiatus Road, Davie.
Debbie’s will be recognized for her community support as a member of the Airport Advisory Board and the Town’s Open Space Advisory Committee. With her amazing, caring, and nurturing way, she loved all animals and worked to rescue and rehabilitate injured and orphaned wild life. She was president of Rascals Wildlife Care Network, an animal rescue and rehabilitation organization helping injured and orphaned wild animals.
The Town of Davie will proclaim November 21st as “Debbie Chandler Appreciation Day” in her recognition Debbie had endless energy, a love of life and an adventurous spirit. The town will dedicate a portion of the horse trail at Robbin’s to her memory as well as a community butterfly garden.
The town asks everyone who will be attending the dedication to bring one small butterfly garden plant with them to place in the memorial garden. Please arrive at 3:00 p.m to add your plant to the garden.
