The below is a press release from the Town of Davie.
The Old Davie School in partnership with the Humane Society of Broward County is proud to host Pet Storytime on Thursday, September 24, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Children ages 6-12 are invited to read their favorite story to certified Animal Assisted Therapy and Education Dogs. These gentle specially gifted animals are accompanied by their human companions who are volunteers with the Humane Society.
Pet Storytime begins with an animal related story read to the children that is followed by the children reading to the dogs. Children may select a book from the Humane Society’s collection, or may bring their own book to share. There is no charge for this event, and snacks will be available.
The program will take place on the campus of the Old Davie School Historical Museum located at 6650 Griffin Road in Davie. For more information, contact Patti Koch, at 954.797.1044.
