The following is a press release we received today.

WWW.MissingChildrenMinistries.Org is hosting a Florida Missing Children’s Day on Monday, September 14th at the Oasis Church, 12201 SW 14th Street in Pembroke Pines, Florida (map quest 33025 – One Blk North of Pembroke Rd on Flamingo Rd).  The program begins at 11:30a.m. with a complimentary luncheon, for those who RSVP 954-632-0998,  immediately followed by a 12:15p.m. Awareness Ceremony with guest speakers, interpretive dance and a balloon release.

Organizer, Director and Founder of Missing Children International Ministries Dinorah Perry feels strongly about organizing the community and creating on-going awareness to help families reunite. “Family members talk to me about the nightmare they are living… of this horrible roller coaster that won’t stop,” said Perry. “This special day and ceremony will help promote the importance of not giving up on missing children and adults.

The Awareness Ceremony features guest speakers: Representatives from the Pembroke Pines and Miami Dade Police Departments, and Author Yvonne Mason, and family members of the missing.  An interpretive dance will be preformed by “Rebecca age 13” to the song “You lift me up”.   Following the performance one Balloon will be released with 25 strings attached.

“I cannot imagine the horror families live through,” said Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank C. Ortis a regular participant in the ceremony. “It is important to find the missing and help families try and put their lives back together.”
