On September 22nd CCHS’s Key Club will be holding their largest ever quarterly blood drive at school to raise a much needed supply for the local hospials and the Red Cross. Billy the Marlin and several members of the Marlin’s Mermaids will be at the blood drive to help kick off the year. In order to donate, students must be 16 or older and have completed a parental consent form. This blood drive is expected to be Cooper City’s largest ever.
For the first time, Billy the Marlin and the Marlin’s Mermaid will be coming to the school at 11 o’ clock while the students are donating. The Marlins have donated 30 pairs of ticket vouchers to home games that will be raffled off, along with 100 signed posters and stickers. The slogan for the baseball themed blood drive is “Be an MVP, Donate Blood, Save Lives”.
